What?

Over the past year, DD responded to 75% (ok, it's probably higher) of our statements with "What?" We seriously considered scheduling an appointment for a hearing exam.

Imagine my surprise when the topic of attentiveness was discussed by the moderator of the Charlotte Mason seminar I watched yesterday. She isn't hearing impaired? You mean she's just not paying attention? My new mantra: don't repeat yourself!! After I told DH of my new plan to break this habit, he tricked me into repeating myself twice during the course of the day. Not bad for the first day. Of course, we were out most of the day and he had limited opportunity, but still.

So, for this family, the first habit we are going to work on is attentiveness.

What?

Also wondering if the perfectionism can be kicking in... does she want to get it exactly right?

Good point. I hadn't considered that. figured she was just messing with my mind. :)

hehehe! :)

We DID have Gerrick's hearing checked about a year ago for that exact same reason. Perfect hearing. I stopped repeating myself and the bad "what" habit went away. wow. :)
