Good Morning, Copernicus

I was awakened (yet again) before the sun. This time, I was told, in no uncertain terms, that the sun indeed was rising. I actually got out of my warm bed to reassure DD that in fact it was STILL DARK. Not even the tiniest rays of sunshine had appeared above the horizon. "The sun really is rising, Mom." A quick look at my cell phone confirmed my worst fears: 5:15 AM. And we'd already been up discussing the sun or its lack for at least 30 minutes.

Needless to say, I was not in the brightest of moods when the sun finally deigned to make an appearance. And guess what? Even when we have 5 hours before we have to be somewhere, we are still late. Urgh.

But we managed to have a good day anyway, particularly when we were out in the beautiful sunshine playing at the park. She made two friends today, and that always makes her happy. I was happy because I was not required to play Ariel and Sebastian for over two hours. Bliss...
