Gratitude and Goals

2009 was a terrific year. We reconnected with old friends and made several new and dear ones to walk along this bend in the road. I am so grateful.

We also learned alot this year: what works in our homeschool and what doesn't; how to learn; how to bend (I'm still learning this lesson).

I'm expecting great things from 2010. In keeping with the great tradition, here are a few lofty goals that will be rewritten by mid-January and possibly scrapped by February:

  • I want more joy in our lives. I am far too serious most of the time. I think we need to laugh more.
  • I want to lay the groundwork for starting the Well-Trained Mind curriculum in the fall. This means (I think) incorporating a bit more structure in our day. I definitely need to be more disciplined in order to accomplish what I want.
  • I want DD to be involved in a few consistent activities that will give her more of a social outlet.

We'll see how it goes.

Happy New Year to you all!

Sherry, we're all for getting together more often. Let's try to work something out.
