We went to our nature program this morning and learned all about otters. Afterwards, we went to the park and hike the trail for a bit. We didn't see many animals at all, possibly because of the decibel levels of the kids, but as we were leaving, we were rewarded by the sight of a doe and her fawn.
We came home and worked our new puzzle. It's a map of the world, which DD received for her birthday. Thanks friends! DD had a great time putting it together. It's a far cry from the 500 piece puzzle we are slogging through in the dining room. I guess I just wanted to add an extra layer of complexity to our lives. Really I was going for a sort of On Golden Pond warm homey feeling, but I need to remember that I am more Henry Fonda than Katharine Hepburn.

Prolly Walden Pond is a subdivision by now. Hmmm. Could you imagine bringing an axe and a few supplies out and just living??
